Ingredients:

Ingredients Quantities
Bone-in pork chops 4
Long-grain rice 1 cup
Butter 4 tablespoons
Onion slices, ring shape 4 slices
Beef broth 10 ounces
Salt To taste
Pepper To taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  3. Add 1 cup of long-grain rice to the skillet and sauté for a couple of minutes until it’s lightly toasted.
  4. Spread the toasted rice evenly in a casserole dish.
  5. Season 4 bone-in pork chops with salt and place them on top of the rice.
  6. Arrange 4 slices of onion in ring shapes on top of the pork chops. Sprinkle pepper over the entire casserole.
  7. Pour 10 ounces of beef broth over the mixture, and add around 2/3 cup of water.
  8. Cover the casserole dish with foil or a lid and bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until the rice is tender, and the pork chops are cooked through.
  9. Check the casserole during baking, adding more beef broth if needed to keep the rice moist.
  10. Broil for a few moments to get the pork chops brown in color.
  11. Serve the pork chops over a bed of rice and onions, spooning some of the flavorful juices over the top.
