Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs

Ingredients:

Olive oil 1 tbsp
Onion, chopped ½
Ground beef 1 lb
Garlic powder 2 tsp
Salt and pepper To taste
Minced garlic 3 tsp
Italian seasoning 1 tbsp
Pasta sauce 1 jar
Water 3 cups
Spaghetti pasta 1 lb
Diced tomatoes 1 can

Instructions:

  1. Saute and Prepare Meat Mixture
    • Add 1 tbsp of olive oil to the Instant Pot and turn to saute.
    • Saute ½ chopped onion until softened.
    • Stir in 1 lb of ground beef, 2 tsp garlic powder, 3 tsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
    • Saute until the meat is cooked through, drain excess fat, and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Instant Pot for Noodles
    • Turn off the saute function and pour half of the 3 cups of water into the Instant Pot.
  3. Layering and Cooking
    • Break 1 lb of spaghetti noodles in half and layer them in an “x” pattern in the Instant Pot.
    • Cover the noodles completely with 1 jar of pasta sauce, 1 can of diced tomatoes, and the remaining water, ensuring the noodles are fully submerged.
    • Place the lid on the Instant Pot, set it to sealing, and cook on manual high for 5 minutes.
  4. Final Touch
    • Allow a natural release for 5 minutes once finished, then carefully push the valve to the venting position to release the remaining pressure.
    • Once able to, open the lid, return the meat mixture to the Instant Pot, and stir everything well before serving.
