Breakfast sliders
Breakfast sliders for dinner! Had everything on hand that we needed to use up!
One package of Hawaiian rolls sliced in half
Ingredients:
1 package Hawaiian rolls, sliced in half
Cheddar cheese, as much as desired
10 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 pound breakfast sausage
1/2 stick melted butter
1/2 cup syrup
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the breakfast sausage until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
Scramble Eggs: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Scramble the eggs in the same skillet used for the sausage until just cooked through. Remove from heat.
Assemble Sliders: Lay the bottom half of the Hawaiian rolls in a baking dish. Layer with cheddar cheese, scrambled eggs, cooked sausage, and more cheddar cheese. Place the top half of the rolls over the fillings.
Butter and Syrup Glaze: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and syrup. Pour or brush the mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.
Bake: Place the assembled sliders in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Cool and Slice: Allow the sliders to cool for a few minutes before slicing into individual servings. The cheese and fillings should be gooey and delicious.
Serve and Enjoy: Serve the savory breakfast sliders warm. They can be enjoyed as is or paired with a side of fresh fruit or a simple green salad.
